Duralite (Wood Wool
Cement Board, WWCB) was first discovered in the late 1920's.
In the 1940's it was manufactured via mechanical process
and today there have been over 150 plants manufactured
and operated around the world. Today the manufacturing
process is automated and the material produced is very
homogeneous and uniform in quality.
"Duralite
Board is manufactured in accordance with
the international certification of BS1105 ( England)
and/ or DIN1101 (Germany) standards."
"Duralite
Board is a natural and cost effective
building material suitable for both tropical and
temperate climates. Thus it reduces the cost of
heating/ air conditioning considerably."
"Duralite
Board enhances quality of life due to
its high thermal insulation value."
"Duralite
Board is high fire resistant resulting
in safe living, virtually eliminating toxic fumes."
"Compared
to brick, an inch of Duralite Board has the same
insulating value as fourteen inches of brickwork."
What is Duralite Board? Duralite Board is a contruction material
produced using more than 80 years of European research
and technology comprising entirely natural and non-toxic
materials.
Duralite
Board is an exceptionally versatile
building material made from wood fibres that are chemically
impregnated and cleverly bonded under pressure with
Portland Cement to form a light weight, homogenosis
building slab of great durability and versatility.
Duralite
Board has a unique combination of rot
resistant, fire resistant thermal and acoustic properties
making it a highly versatile construction material.
It is lightweight, termite and fungus resistant, easy
to use and an environmentally friendly alternative to
the conventional building systems used today.
Duralite Board
is especially cost effective because of its ease and
speed of installation and its lightweight property allows
reduction in structural and foundation costs.
